Among the participants to exercise Bold Alligator Dutch units were from the Caribbean, Dutch Marines from the 32nd Infantry Company of the Marines took part in the recent Bold Alligator 2012 Exercise -- Over 15,000 soldiers and 24 ships from 9 countries in and around Camp Lejeune Marines base participated in the largest American amphibious exercise since 2001.

In the old HAK-factory in Heusden a hostage situation is going on. To the help the hostages quickly a Chinook transport helicopter deploys a group of Marines on the roof of the building. This happened Monday, September 6, 2010 during a special exercise of the Defence Helicopter Command and the Marine Intervention Unit.
In de oude HAK-fabriek in Heusden is een gijzeling gaande. Om de gijzelaars snel te helpen zet een Chinook-transporthelikopter een groep mariniers af op het dak van het gebouw. Dit gebeurde maandag 6 september 2010 tijdens een bijzondere oefening van het Defensie Helikopter Commando en de Unit Interventie Mariniers
