    lo studio che c'è dietro l'adozione dei mutandoni balistici è di carattere anatomico e non è altro che un evoluzione del groin protector. Semplicemente nella zona inguinale ci sono molti vasi sanguigni, alcuni di grosse dimensioni (non studio medicina ma mi sembra di ricordare che la vena cava inferiore passa da quelle parti e dovrebbe essere uno dei vasi sanguigni più grandi nell'uomo) per cui serve uno strumento che sia capace di proteggere quella zona sensibile dalle schegge degli IED

    Purtroppo una lesione vasale in zona pelvica può dare gravissimi "disagi al malcapitato"...

    Con una lesione arteriosa (e non si parla di un solo vaso, ma di vari di diametro importante, vedesi termine dell'aorta addominale (25/27mm) , biforcazione della stessa nelle arterie iliache comuni e ulteriore biforcazione nelle iliache interne ed esterne) , data la pressione abbastanza elevata, si rischia una emorragia di tutto rispetto, seguita da shock ipovolemico, tachipnea, tachicardia, relativo scompenso cardiaco, coma, eventuale decesso...
    I vasi venosi, leggermente lateralizzati, seguono pari passo, e per loro conformazione risultano leggermente più grandi di diametro rispetto agli arteriosi (30 mm nella Cava inferiore, prima della diramazione iliaca..)... In questo caso l'emorragia risulterà leggermente più lenta, ma comunque mortale...

    Poi, parlando in soldoni, l'idea di rimetterci i gioielli di famiglia e il processo pampiniforme, bhè, non credo piaccia a nessuno...

India Company’s Marines trained the 3rd Tolai, 2nd Kandak, 2nd Brigade, 215th Corps, Afghan National Army to patrol on their own and with the Marines in a supporting role. The ANA encountered enemy fire during the patrol and responded quickly, repelling the attack. The Marines have mentored the Afghan soldiers since they arrived at the patrol base late last year.
