There are 48 women presently working along the volatile front lines of the war in Afghanistan deployed as the second Female Engagement team participating in a more active role, gaining access where men can't.     Lance Cpl. David Ortega and Lance Cpl. Miguel Travino, both members of 2nd Platoon, India Company, 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, kneel in a group of trees in southern Sangin during a recent patrol. The Platoon was on an operation to secure a new patrol base in the area. Although on the first three days of the operation, the Marines encountered several firefights and found several improvised explosive devises, they also secured the compound and established a new patrol base.

    22nd MEU

The BLT participated in a two-week training exercise at Ft. Pickett, Va., in preparation for their upcoming deployment with the 22nd MEU in 2011. The Marines and sailors of the 22nd MEU recently began an aggressive series of progressively, more complex pre-deployment exercises designed to train and test the MEU's ability to operate as a cohesive and effective fighting force. The 22nd MEU is a multi-mission capable force of 2,200 Marines and sailors and comprised of Aviation Combat Element, Marine Tilt Rotor Squadron 263 (Reinforced); Logistics Combat Element, Combat Logistics Battalion 22; Ground Combat Element, Battalion Landing Team, 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment; and its command element.

    dato che ho visto l'espulsione di un bossolo in una foto

    le armi blu sono inerti, gli m4 con la canna blu invece denotano l'upper receiver per le simunition, tipo paintball ma con munizioni di piccolo calibro inoffensive che all'impatto si rompono
    edit:
    guardando bene non solo le solite blue gun, sparano sul serio, ma credo siano comunque simunition o simili

    Beh si vede un pò di tutto in queste foto, dai Norotos 3 hole ai Norotos Universal Shroud e anche Ops-Core VAS Shroud !
    Comunque si c'è anche un MBSS con annesso un groin protector
