Queste 3 sono interessanti perchè finalmente si fa un pò di chiarezza sui chest rig da mettere sull'SPC. Questo modello che si vede bene in tutte le foto non è altro che un "aggiunta" (si vede che è fissato tramite fettucce e fastex e non è un vero chest rig) e non la prima volta che si vede, oltre tutto il colore è perfettamente compatibile con l'SPC e le altre tasche, quindi azzarderei che è realmente issued. Questa foto è particolare perchè se ci fate caso, si vede per la prima volta in maniera molto limpida, l'ILBE main pack versione RECON sul campo, ne parlavo tempo fa con Red in privato. Per chi non lo sapesse, qualche tempo fa è stato ideato un nuovo ILBE system denominato ILBE RECON che diffiresci dall'orginale per un main pack più grande di 1500CC rispetto allo standard, tasche aggiuntive marpat esterne (utility), e il corpsman assault pack al posto del classico assault pack.Marines from 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Battalion, wait to board a CH-53E Super Stallion on the flight line here Sept. 2. Inolte sull'ILBE RECON main pack, sono state aggiunte alcune file di pals molle e il "vecchio" sistema di ritenzione della sacca di idratazione source è stato rimpiazzato dalla cosiddetta "recon tail" (che in foto non si vede perchè è assente) che non è altro che un lungo rettangolo di cordura dotato di pals molle che si attacca al resto del corpo tramite fastex.
In questa foto la differenza è lampante ma si vede anche dalla HI RES
Beh che dire... se nel main pack standard c'entra il mondo, nel main pack recon ci va l'intero universo! Tant'è che il tipo col recon non ha manco bisogno di usare l'assault pack come estensione (come gli altri) per portarsi tutto dietro
EDIT: dimenticavo... la versione recon è stata ideata per le unità con compiti speciali! Quindi force recon, marsoc e affini. In questa foto è un pò fuori luogo perchè il tipo che ce l'ha è un semplice combat engineer ma potrebbe essere un acquisto personale

Marines with 2nd platoon, India Battery, 3rd Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 2, patrol through the area of Kajaki to locate and destroy reinforced, enemy fighting positions, Sept. 6. “We are pretty much surrounded by Taliban,” said Capt. Richard Stinnett, the commanding officer of India Battery. “With that being said, we often have to go on patrols to the surrounding towns in the area to keep the Taliban back.”
Marines with 2nd platoon, India Battery, 3rd Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 2, patrol through the area of Kajaki to locate and destroy enemy fixed and reinforced fighting positions, Sept. 6. Although the patrol did not destroy any fixed, reinforced positions, the 3/12 Marines did stand their ground in several firefights, showing insurgent forces their unwavering resolve to protect the dam.
