The Soviet designed PBS is a suppressor system for the AK-47/74. It came basically in two versions, the PBS-1 and PBS-4, the PBS standing for Pribor Besshumnoy Stryelbiy or as correctly translated, Set for Noiseless Shooting. It came in two distinct versions, as stated before the 1 and the 4 whereas the first one is a very straight forward design of a can that mounts on the barrel. The latter is somewhat more sophisticated but shares the same sturdy design for military use. And now Madbull has these in barrel extension versions, for the markets that do not allow functioning airsoft suppressor replicas.
The PBS (Pribor Besshumnoy Stryelbiy = Device for Noiseless Shooting) is a high-grade, high-quality 14mm thread barrel extension built for the AK platform. It is constructed out of a solid aluminum and features a pyramid textured grip that surrounds 90% of the barrel’s surface. This allows for easy of removal and installation. It’s machined with a matte black finish that seamlessly blends with riflemetal as opposed to a glossy finish. It’s a collectible and practical item for serious player of Russian combat gears as well as airsoft skirmishers.
Product weighted 1lb. Highly recommended for the AK74U version. For regular AK model, you need to add an extended inner barrel to make sure the barrel extension is steady.
