"our old friend goldenbow, also known as jing-gong, have been one of the best manufacturers for low-cost aegs. with their whole slew of new releases, they have not only come out with some great guns, but raised the bar once again on the quality of cheap aegs coming out of china.
externally, the guns are hard to tell apart from tm, with the exception of the blank receiver where the colt trades usually are on the marui model. the receivers are made up of abs plastic, while the triggers, buffer tubes, outer barrels and flashiders, flat top rails (minus the m733), and sights are made out of metal. this makes for a very solid gun, and while barrel wobble is inevitable with any plastic receiver, there isn't that much with these guns.
the jg armalites all come with full metal hi-caps that feed fairly well, and are completely compatible with marui magazines. actually, almost everything on the guns is marui compatible, including the inner barrel/hop-up. this makes installing upgraded hop-up rubbers and tightbore barrels a breeze. also, the flashiders are removable and have 14mm counterclockwise threading for anyone who wants to install a silencer.
internally, the guns has some issues, none of which can't be resolved. some of the inner barrels, although of seemingly good quality brass, were reported as bad and caused horrid accuracy, so a better inner barrel would drastically help any accuracy issues the guns could be having. the durability of the stock gearbox is also a huge concern, as it uses a 6mm shell with plastic bushings with some gearboxes pushing 380 fps + in their stock form. to make these guns last, one of two things must happen: a) reinforce the gearbox with upgraded parts (ie metal bushings, a metal spring guide, etc.) or b) downgrade the gun with a softer spring so that the stock components can handle it.
what is amazing is that the stock motors coupled with the stock 8.4v batteries can pull such an enormous load with such ease. the guns get a respectable rate of fire stock, which can only be attributed to jg's great motors, as well as surprisingly good shimming. the batteries are decent, although some have found that the m733 models were not designed to use the mini battery included with the guns, so that some trimming of the handguards and precise installation was needed in order to fit them in.
overall, goldenbow/jing-gong has produced some fantastic clones that are sure to up the ante when it comes to china made guns, although immediate work is needed if their internals are to last."
suggested upgrades:
-new barrel
-new hop-up rubber/bucking
-reinforced internals or a softer spring
