TwoNav (software GPS x palmari)
non ho trovato un post dedicato a questo software e allora eccolo qui.
twonav e' un software di navigazione utilizzabile sia in outdoor come un gps garmin sia in strada come un tomtom.
questo software esiste in versione poket (per i poket pc) e in versione tablet (per i tablet pc)

compatibilita' versione poket odierna (2.0.2) = pocket pc windows ce or windows mobile 2003, 5 or 6
compatibilita' versione tablet odierna (2.0.2) = pc/umpc/tablet pc (windows xp/vista)
prossimamente verra' presentata la versione per iphone (mac) ma non e' ancora ufficiale.

tablet = 59€
questo software viene venduto anche abbinato a un hardware di loro produzione (vedi recensione qui) e l'impressione che ne ho avuto dopo una breve prova e' un software valido.
la principale caratteristica e' quella di supportare cartografia raster (foto aeree o scansioni di mappe) oltre alla normale cartografia vettoriale.
la versione tablet non l'ho mai provata, mi spiace. potete trovare maggiori info sul sito o sul loro forum.

*real 3d view works over topographic maps, so if v-map (road map) and cdem are loaded, when activating 3d+ it only will be able to show the relief of the area but without the map information.

- twonav pocket: you will receive an email with a link to download latest version of twonav and a register code to activate it (valid for all updates within version 1.xx), but no maps are included.
you can acquire topographic maps or vmaps (to access on-road functions) separately. - twonav pocket + vmap: vmap included depends on the zone you choose (twonav pocket iberia, germany, france, italy, etc.). you will receive a cd with:
- latest version of twonav with license to access all updates within version (1.xx)
- latest version of vmap of your zone
- elevation map (cdem) of your zone
note: it does not include topographic maps or ortophotos (aerial photos)

- pda with windows mobile 2003/ 2005 / 6 or windows ce 4.2*(or higher) operating system.
- gps device integrated in the pda or connectable (bluetooth) to it. *due to poor management of the ports that creates windows mobile/ce and the complexity of its configuration, we cannot guarantee the correct connection with a gps bluetooth. it's recommended to ensure that the system works properly with the program in free mode before acquire it.

16/12/2009 annunciata la versione 2.1 imminente, la 2.0.9 beta e' stata lanciata da qualche giorno ormai.
