La 162a divisione di fanteria composta appunto da personale turkmeno operò in bassa toscana nell'estate del 1944 ;)


EDIT: mistero risolto, la descrizione del Bundesarchiv riporta chiaramente:

Italien, Raum Rimini / Ancona.- Zwei Soldaten (Gebirgsjäger?) mit Maschinenpistolen (MP 38/40 und sowjetische MP PPSch-41?) auf Landstraße, die Straße beobachtend

l'occhio aveva visto bene sul versante di operazioni :-)
aggiungerei, che dal tipo di abbigliamento, i due soldati appartenessero ad unità LW, massicciamente presenti, nel settore di Rimini/Coriano.
L'unica unità Gebirgs presente in zona era la 5° Gebirgs-Division.
