after watching a lot of ghost in the shell and other m. shirow created anime/manga, i have wanted a gun like those he designs for quite a few years. i really didn't want to buy an expensive aftermarket kit, so when a bit of research turned out a p90 body shell and a used and a very cheap famas, i set to work.
what i wanted was a cool, anime looking cqb weapon capable of using m4 magazines, and with an integrated surefire p9 flashlight and a large battery. here is the project in its current state. it's now in "beta", so i'm testing it out in the field.
parts used:- marui famas aeg
- p90 body shell (bought as a part from airsoft dynamics)
- g36c ris rail (bought via arnie's airsoft boards)
- plasticard
- famas silencer adapter
- m4 flash hider
- m4 magazine
- xm177 cocking handle
- m100 spring
- g36 side rails
- p90 end sling cap
to-do list:- fix front grip in place and add pressure button for light
- redo front grip to be more vertical. beta test result
- general cosmetic work
- wait for electronics wiz to build single shot fire control system an bullet counter
- beta test!
so far things are looking ok. i still need to do a lot of finishing and polishing on it. i'll get a coat of black spray all over when done.
